About Me
My name is Megan Bellstedt and I’m a 20-something trying to expand my knowledge about the workings of the government and politics. I plan to do this through blogging, which almost everyone picks up in today’s world. My goal for this blog is to share the knowledge I’m gaining with everyone else!
As most of you know, we have a presidential election coming up in 2020. A very BIG election, regardless of your political lean. I plan to be as informed as possible. They say knowledge is power, and I’m about to be one empowered voter.
That’s the whole point about democracy, isn’t it? Okay, I know we are technically a Democratic Republic, but still. Democracy is present in our political system and the more you know about the issues that impact your daily life, the more control you have over your future.
I may just be a recent college graduate who didn’t even major in political science, but do you really need a political science degree to have a grip on how your country works? Nah, definitely not.
I’ll never claim to be an expert, and I will try to keep everything as centered as I can in my analysis. BUT I’m going to have opinions. If this bothers you, I understand. It won’t hurt my feelings if you don’t follow me! If you do, I’d love to have a conversation.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I only ask one thing. PLEASE don’t roast me and try to destroy my self esteem…let me learn, and help me learn. Together we can politicize the masses.
